For travellers who want more than a safari
Do more than safari.
Watching animals is one kind of trip. Working alongside the people who care for them is another. Animal impact by day, Wild Coast by evening.
A meaningful South African animal expedition
Participation, not observation
You’re not behind glass or on a game-drive bench. You’re bottle-feeding lambs, joining outreach days, working facility routines — guided, hands-on, real.
The Wild Coast most tours miss
Chintsa’s beaches, working pastures and rural communities — a South Africa you meet by being useful in it, not by driving through it.
Grounded, not glossy
We don’t sell inflated impact claims. We show the work itself and let it speak — field days, care routines, and the local operations that continue after you leave.
This is a working programme, not a lodge
Comfortable base above the beach, honest field days in between. If your ideal trip is sundowners and a viewing deck, a classic safari will serve you better — and we’ll say so. If you want your travel to involve you, this is built for that.

Straight answers
Is this a safari?
No — and that’s the point. There are no game-drive circuits at the core of this programme. It’s guided animal field work in a real working landscape, with the Wild Coast as your base.
How comfortable is the base?
Comfortable and genuinely beautiful — the deck looks over the beach and lagoon at Chintsa. It’s a working programme base, not a luxury lodge, and the guide shows exactly what to expect.
Can I combine it with wider travel?
Yes — many travellers build the programme into a longer South Africa trip. Fixed programme dates make it easy to plan around.
Travel that involves you.
